Crime thrillers research

fgbjgfb o off  One of the continuity rules is the use of shot reverse shot, the interesting thing about this is that the shot doesn't go on one of the characters faces, this is done to mask his identity. In addition to this the 180 degree rule is used so it is clear that the characters are talking to each other.
This opening of the usual suspects uses cut aways to show the set of the dockyard. The flames are slowed down so the viewer is able t see what is happening. There is also slow match shots which show the flame traveling.
At the end of the scene the final shot of the opening scene dissolves into the next scene.
I think that it would be relevant to use slow motion in our opening sequence.

The key rules used is the use of shot reverse shot when the character was talking to the security guard. This was used so it would be easy to tell who they were talking too and so the audience is not confused. Also the main characters face is lit up because it is a dark background so it is easy to see what direction he is looking in. There are the use of shots such as match shots that show the main character attaching the guard but then it shows it from a further, long shot.
