Locations- Kareem Lyew-Sang

This location would work for our opening sequence as it could be seen as a dodgy area in which the assassin might have to go to find a target. It links to our sub genre (crime thriller) because it looks like a location crime may be committed such as drug deals. Creatively I think it would work thanks to the graffiti displayed on the walls which would and a dark and gritty feel to the opening sequence.

This area would work for our opening sequence because it its a dark and secluded area where the assassin may want to bring a target to kill them. It links to the crime thriller sub genre as it has a dark effect like you see in most crime thrillers.

Another thriller film is Jason Bourne (2016). This film is the most recognisable out of all three of these films, the film made the most money and used the most money to be created. However this film used many different locations to be filmed by the production team. Some of these were the following:

Las Vagas, USA

In the Box office the film was very successful because the film made one of the biggest profits on record. The film was given a $120,000,000 budget and was produced by Captivate Entertainment, Double Negative, Kennedy/Marshall Company, the Pearl Street Films and Universal pictures.

locations-Luke Burnip

I think that this picture would work for our opening sequence because in the dark scene that is shown above. In this lighting it would be easy to establish a character and at the same time keep the genre at the same time. An arch like this would make it easier for the audience to see the full view of the character in a long shot. This would give the character a good opening and it fits the genre which is what people of our target audience would want in a film. I think that this would work creatively because it is generic of a thriller to have the character walking in such a dramatic place.
I think that this place would be good to be used a reveal for a the character. Alternatively it can be used as a sort of alleyway that the character can walk through when there is a build up to something. I think that this would appeal to our target audience as the location provides suspense as you know that he is walking in too.
Finally, this spot could be used as a meeting ground between the hacker and the hitman. It would give the opening a certain mystery to it as to what the two characters do. I think that it is vital that they are together to push the plot forward and this is how it will attract the audience because it's scenes set in places like these that give the opening a sense of enigma.

Sub genre photos-Kareem Lyew-Sang

This is medium shot and the shot shows the thriller sub-genre of gangsta thriller. We feel this shot shows the sub genres of gangsta thriller through the use of the hooded jacket in the use of hoods is fairly common in the gangsta thriller sub-genre as it shows that someone has something to hide. What I felt could have been done better with this shot is to have a clearer background and what I felt went well is that the shot shows the subject it's trying to portray very well.

This a long shot that shows the horror thriller sub-genre. The reason why we feel this shows horror thriller is due to the use of the hand rising out of the bushes because shots like this are used very often in horror thriller. Also the fact you can only see the hand helps to insight fear of what is behind the bushes. What we could have done better is zoom out more to show that it is a long shot. What we felt went well is the use of the hand to portray the horror thriller sub-genre.
